1. Measure all your ingredients and put them in the bread machine pan with the exception of the melted butter. Follow the manufacturer’s provided order. Select manual or dough cycle but avoid the delay cycle.

  • 7g active dry yeast

1. Put milk, water, 75g butter, egg, sugar, salt, flour and yeast in your bread machine according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. Choose knead or dough and First Cycle and then press start.

2. Once cycle is finished, transfer the dough to an evenly floured surface and cut the dough into two equal parts. Roll the parts into 12-inch circles and spread the already softened 55g butter on each of them.

3. Cut 8 wedges from each circle and roll each wedge tenderly but tightly starting from the wider end and put them on an un-lubricated cookie sheet. Using a clean kitchen towel, cover the balls and place them in a warm place allowing them to rest for 1 hour until they rise.

4. Preheat your oven to around 200°C. Place your risen pieces in the oven and wait for 10 to 15 minutes or until they turn golden brown in color.
